Whether it is a bridge, or a skyline, or a monument, our culture's icons can be photographed so many times that yet another images seems like an obligatory passport check. Yes, I do have a photo of that. But it can be unique. What draws you to it? Capture that.

June Shimmer is one of a series of photos that taught me water can be any color, no photoshopping required. Water is clear, but whether it is flat, rippling, or waves, and depending on what it reflects, its appearance changes dramatically while its essence remains the same. Such is the world.
